Inspiration
The impetus for our artistic emphasis on mushrooms stemmed from a significant encounter with mushroom gathering in the forest. This action fully immersed us in the mutually beneficial link between nature and mushrooms. Our curiosity was piqued, and we were prompted to conduct more investigation upon observing the rich and complicated interactions between mushrooms and the natural environment. The allure of the abundant history, age-old traditions, and profound beliefs associated with mushroom culture captivated us. The deep bond between humans and the fungal domain became apparent, fueling our aspiration to translate these encounters into artistic expressions. The mushrooms' innate mystique and alluring sensory appeal inspired us to conduct original research.
Our exploration revealed that by digitally archiving discovered mushrooms using different methods, we may capture their physical appearances and related beliefs, imaginations, and symbiotic relationships. AI-generated dynamic pictures and interactive noises communicate sensory experiences not often associated with humans, drawing inspiration from the fungus realm.
Ultimately, we centered our theme around mushrooms, inspired by our firsthand experiences in the forest, where mushroom exploration opened a gateway to a world filled with beliefs, rituals, and symbiotic relationships. We aspire to express this through our experimental art form, offering a unique perspective on this captivating world.
